Beaver Crossing sits along Nebraska Link 80E (L80E) in southwestern Seward County, about 3 miles south of Interstate 80 (Exit 369). Nearby towns include Utica (about 12 miles northwest) and Milford (about 20 miles east). Seward County borders Butler, Lancaster, Saline, Fillmore, York, and Polk Counties.

Beaver Crossing was platted in 1875 in anticipation of railroad construction, though the railroad didn't actually arrive until 1887. It's named for a nearby crossing of Beaver Creek along the Nebraska City-to-Fort Kearny trail.

An EF3 tornado struck Beaver Crossing on May 11, 2014, damaging nearly every structure in the village with no fatalities reported. Population 375 in 2020; race-car driver Jan Opperman once lived here.

Beaver Crossing Country Cabin offers vacation rental lodging in the village. Beaver Crossing City Park, a small campground and RV park about 3 miles south of I-80 Exit 369 along the L80E spur, and Triple E Equine, a guest ranch just outside town, are also nearby.
