Nebraska Directory is a free resource for travelers, residents, and businesses across all 93 Nebraska counties. Whether you're planning a road trip, looking for businesses along a rural highway, or checking live traffic cameras before you head out, this site is built for you.
How It Started
Nebraska Directory grew out of a resource for travelers on US Highway 20 — the longest highway in Nebraska, running 440 miles from the Missouri River to Wyoming. That site proved the concept: travelers found it useful, businesses appreciated the free listings, and it became clear that Nebraska needed this kind of resource statewide.
Since then, the site has expanded to cover all 93 counties, 8 geographic regions, dozens of travel corridors, and a live camera network pulling real-time feeds from NDOT and weather sources across the state.
Who It's For
Travelers planning drives on Nebraska's highways — US-20, US-275, I-80, and many scenic state routes — use Nebraska Directory to find businesses, check road conditions, and explore communities along the way. Residents use it to discover what's nearby. Visitors use it to plan ahead. Local businesses can list for free to reach people who are already heading their way.
About the Builder
Nebraska Directory is built and maintained by Norman Nielsen, a website developer and web host based in Stafford, Nebraska. Norman has operated a business on Highway 20 for over 50 years — that firsthand experience of what travelers need and what Nebraska communities have to offer is what drives this project.
