The Surprise Opera House, at Miller and River streets in Surprise, was built by the village in 1913 as its town hall and opera house, on land given by mill owner George Miller. It has a 19-foot proscenium and a sculptured tin ceiling and was listed on the National Register in 1988. View from the street.
