The Rock County Fairgrounds in Bassett hosts the Rock County Fair in late July and early August, the Sandhills Ranch Expo in June and the Bassett high school rodeo. Its campground, entered from Reynolds Street, has about 30 electric sites (30 and 50 amp) with water, showers and a dump station; camping has been about $10 a night or by donation, with no reservations. It fills during fair week, and it sits near the highway, so expect truck noise.
