Description

Patrick Maginnis built this irrigation aqueduct in 1912 to carry water across Lodgepole Creek west of Kimball, using the galvanized steel flume design he had patented in 1902. The flume, about 180 feet long, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994. A Nebraska historical marker (2011) stands at a pull-out on the south side of US 30 just west of County Road 29, near the old Union Pacific station of Oliver.
