The Kearney County Courthouse, on the square between Colorado and Minden avenues in Minden, is a Classical Revival building designed by George A. Berlinghof and built in 1906–07, the county’s third courthouse. It has been on the National Register since January 10, 1990. Each Christmas season more than 12,000 lights outline the courthouse and square, a tradition that began in 1915.
