Hidden Paradise is a canyon resort on Long Pine Creek in Long Pine. It began as the Long Pine Amusement Park in 1910; Carleton Pettijohn Sr. built cottages, a heated plunge and a dance pavilion from 1912, and big bands are said to have played there. Today about 60 cabins line the creek, most privately owned; rental cabins are open from mid-April to mid-October, and tubes are available for floating the spring-fed creek.
