The Wayne County Historical Museum, 702 Lincoln St. in Wayne, is in the Dr. W. C. Wightman House, a Shingle Style home built in 1900 and listed on the National Register; the Ley family owned it from 1913 and gave it to the historical society in 1976. Its collection includes a clock from the LaPorte courthouse. Open Sundays 2 to 4, Memorial Day to Labor Day, or by appointment.
