Van's Lakeview Fishing Camp is on the south shore of Lake McConaughy, about 9 miles north of Brule by Sunnyslope Road. Albert "Van" and Karel VanBorkum bought it in 1966, and the family still runs it, with a bait shop and store, boat rentals and more than 100 campsites. It is open from the first weekend of May to mid-September. When low water closed the public ramps in 2026, Van's was one of the private launches still in use.
