St. Bonaventure Catholic Church at Raeville, about 2 miles east of NE 14 between Petersburg and Elgin, is an active parish of the Archdiocese of Omaha. The brick Romanesque Revival church, designed by Jacob M. Nachtigall of Omaha and dedicated on July 14, 1919, has twin towers about 100 feet tall, murals by the Conrad Schmitt studio and 21 stained-glass windows by the Emil Frei studio of St. Louis, with German inscriptions. With the 1910 school, the 1920s rectory and the cemetery, it was listed on the National Register as the St. Bonaventure Church Complex in 1982.
