Lake Ericson, 49147 Pothast Rd. just southeast of Ericson, is a no-wake lake on the Cedar River behind the 1916 Ericson Dam, run by the Ericson Lake Corporation. It has a beach and swimming area, a boat ramp, an ADA fishing dock, nature trails and a picnic shelter made from an old carousel. The campground has 21 electric RV sites in the Dam and River campgrounds ($30) and 15 tent sites ($10). The dam’s spillway failed on June 13, 2010, draining the lake; it has since been refilled.
