The Mansion on the Hill, 1004 N. Spruce St. in Ogallala, was built in 1887 for banker Leonidas A. Brandhoefer with bricks from Ogallala's first kiln; he sold it the next year without living in it. The Keith County Historical Society has owned it since 1966 and runs it as a museum furnished in the period. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
